The Online Casino vs. The Traditional Land-Based Casino

Is online gambling right for you? As you might have guessed, there is no major difference between online casinos and land based casinos. There’s no doubt that a live experience with other players and a dealer can create some very exciting heart-pounding action – that of which is terribly difficult to duplicate in an online casino. That being said, while the live experience is no match for a virtual game, the main difference is the convenience online casino play offers. There’s no need take vacation time from work, book a flight, plan a hotel stay, and spend the money and time to get to Vegas (or other popular gambling destination). This is hands-down the most attractive feature as to why online gambling is becoming ever so popular.

I know from my personal experience, gambling is something I get in the mood for. Every so often, I’ll feel like spending my Friday or Saturday night in the online casino – just like I may choose to see a movie or play a round of golf. Online casinos give you that ability, the chance to recreationally gamble without the hassle and expense of a pre-planned trip to Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Not to mention, that unlike my golf game, online gambling can pay off and provide me with more money for more entertainment!

Another aspect of online casino play that is unimaginable for land-based casinos is the flexibility and control the user has over game play. Wagers are in control of the online player. If you are not familiar with a game, or want to test it out, there’s almost no worries in a $1 wager, as opposed to land based minimum bets that could very easily be half your budget. Absolutely nowhere will you find $1 a hand blackjack or baccarat table in Vegas! This is a huge control factor that’s an advantage to the player, and overall a disadvantage to the casino. On the same lines, there’s never any sense of urgency when making wagers or deciding whether or not to hit on 16 dealer showing 10! Take your time; evaluate your chances and odds, lookup rules or tips in your web browser. This is again, a massive advantage to the player - eliminating the amount of ‘bad’ wagers placed, and overall making you a much more knowledgeable gambler – what the land-casinos fear!
